The Extreme Thermal Load of Cement Clinker
As raw cement clinker exits the rotary kiln, it is rapidly cooled. The exhaust air from this clinker cooler is heavily laden with highly abrasive dust and can experience severe temperature spikes exceeding 250°C. Venting this directly to the atmosphere violates EPA regulations, requiring heavy-duty Pulse-Jet Baghouses engineered specifically for high thermal loads.
Fiberglass and PTFE Filter Media
Standard polyester filter bags will melt instantly in a clinker cooler application. These specialized dust collectors utilize woven fiberglass filter bags laminated with an ePTFE (Teflon) membrane. The fiberglass provides the necessary tensile strength at 260°C, while the slick PTFE membrane ensures the abrasive clinker dust releases cleanly during the compressed air pulse, preventing irreversible bag blinding and maintaining a stable differential pressure.
