Venturi wet scrubbers, packed bed scrubbers (99.9% gas absorption), cyclonic spray scrubbers & welding fume collectors.
A wet scrubber is an air pollution control device that removes harmful gaseous pollutants (SO₂, HCl, HF, NH₃, H₂S, VOCs) and fine particulate matter from industrial exhaust by bringing contaminated gas into intimate contact with a scrubbing liquid — typically water, caustic soda solution, or chemical reagent. The pollutant molecules are either physically absorbed into the liquid, chemically neutralized (acid-base reaction), or physically trapped by water droplets and mist. Wet scrubbers are the technology of choice where dry filters cannot handle gaseous pollutants, sticky/hygroscopic particles, high-moisture exhaust, or explosive conditions — common in chemical plants, acid pickling, plating shops, pharmaceutical reactors, and waste incinerators.
Aerotech's Air Pollution Control equipment includes venturi type wet scrubbers for sub-micron particulate capture, packed bed wet scrubbers for toxic gas neutralization (SO₂, HCl, NH₃, H₂S — 99.9% destruction efficiency), cyclonic spray tube wet scrubbers for combined particulate and gas treatment, packed bed dry adsorbers (activated carbon for VOC removal), and portable welding fume collectors with HEPA/PTFE filtration. Construction materials include SS 316L, FRP, polypropylene, and rubber-lined MS for maximum chemical resistance. Compliant with CPCB emission norms. Applications: chemical manufacturing, petrochemical refineries, pharmaceutical processing, metal finishing, fertilizer plants, food processing odour control, and marine diesel exhaust (IMO SOx regulations).
A wet scrubber is a pollution control device that removes gaseous pollutants (SO₂, HCl, NH₃, H₂S, VOCs) and fine particulate matter from industrial exhaust streams by bringing the contaminated gas into intimate contact with a scrubbing liquid (water, alkaline solution, or chemical reagent). The pollutants are either absorbed into the liquid, chemically neutralized, or physically captured by water droplets. Wet scrubbers are essential where dry filtration cannot handle gaseous pollutants, sub-micron particles, or high-moisture/high-temperature exhaust — common in chemical plants, metal finishing, acid pickling, pharmaceutical processing, and waste incineration.
Aerotech manufactures venturi wet scrubbers (up to 1,00,000 CMH), cyclonic spray tube scrubbers (up to 1,20,000 CMH), packed bed wet scrubbers (up to 85,000 CMH, 99.9% gas absorption), dry packed bed/activated carbon adsorbers (up to 40,000 CMH), and welding fume collectors (99.9% at 0.3 microns). Constructed in SS 316L, FRP, polypropylene, and rubber-lined MS for maximum corrosion resistance.
Our venturi scrubbers capture sub-micron particles with adjustable throat design. Packed bed systems neutralize toxic gases (SO₂, HCl, NH₃, H₂S) using structured packing media (Pall rings, Intalox saddles) for maximum gas-to-liquid contact. Welding fume extractors feature articulated 360° arms with HEPA/PTFE cartridges. Serving chemical plants, pharma, metal finishing, and cement industries.
