Overcoming Extreme Shaft Resistance
Deep-shaft mining requires pushing massive volumes of fresh air (often hundreds of thousands of CFM) miles underground. The friction loss against the jagged rock walls of the mine shafts creates extreme static pressure requirements. Main ventilation fans are typically massive, multi-stage axial units or heavy-duty centrifugal blowers installed on the surface.
Auxiliary and Booster Fan Integration
To prevent air stagnation in blind headings and localized excavation zones, auxiliary mine fans are deployed underground. These high-pressure axial fans force air through flexible ducting directly to the working face. They are engineered with explosion-proof (ATEX-certified) motors and anti-sparking brass rub-rings to operate safely in environments prone to volatile methane gas pockets.
